Agave is an upscale apartment community built on the birthplace site of Spanish-language broadcasting in the United States. Constructed in 1955, the former Univision headquarters was demolished after a lengthy battle waged by local preservationists and activists and subsequently relocated to San Antonio’s Northwest Side.
Signage and environmental graphics, like the project’s graphic identity, pay homage to the site’s significant history by recalling Univision’s iconic geometric logotype while also acknowledging the distinct architectural and landscape palettes that are rooted in the local design vernacular.
