The graphic identity pays homage to Chandler’s unique location, roughly halfway between Chicago and Santa Monica, on historic Route 66; with the parent mark conceived as a vessel that accommodates individualized districts within the community.
The design vocabulary evokes the vintage Phillips 66 gas station sign that can still be found on Chandler’s Manvel Street. Additional sources of inspiration include the iconic interstate highway sign shield and the Joint Operations Center of the Oklahoma National Guard, which calls Chandler home.
