Coinciding with the firm’s 25th anniversary celebration, Rialto Studio engaged fd2s to develop a graphic identity that signals their natural transition in leadership, and honors the firm’s founders and history.
Having grown from a small design team to a firm that now touts 30+ landscape architects across multiple offices, Rialto’s aspiration that the new identity feel “evolutionary not revolutionary” became apparent during early work sessions. Using this as our rudder, the massing and proportion of the new identity are derived from its predecessor, with typographic rigor serving as the new sinew between logotype and logo.
